The staff was affable - I would consider staying here again. The hotel was located adjacent to fields and grazing cows with lovely elevated views across the countryside and a nature reserve down the road as well as the late ferry.

The studio apartment provided all the necessary amenities, including a well-stocked kitchen and laundry facilities. the parking arrangements were convenient and the host was friendly and welcoming.
There were a few drawbacks to my stay. the cleanliness of the apartment was not up to my standards, as there were some areas that were not adequately cleaned.

We had an unforgettable stay at Runa Guest House. The location was perfect, providing a peaceful and quiet setting while still being within easy reach of all the amazing sights in Orkney. The accommodation itself was top-notch, with comfortable beds, spacious living areas, and excellent self-catering facilities including a full oven and dishwasher. We also appreciated the laundry facilities on site. Our host, Robert, went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, providing us with valuable tips on Orkney highlights. The renewable electricity from the wind turbine was a great eco-friendly touch. We were pleasantly surprised to find a complementary set of provisions upon arrival, including bread, butter, jam.
Although we absolutely loved our stay at Runa, there were a few minor drawbacks. The curtains in the bedroom could be darker to block out the light during the long summer nights.

I stayed at the Runa Guest House for a week and had an incredible experience. The apartment was extremely comfortable and well-equipped, with top quality furnishings and fittings. The highlight was definitely being able to see the northern lights from the sitting room window. The host, Rob, was excellent and struck the perfect balance between being available and allowing me privacy. The welcome pack and generous kitchen cupboard staples, such as bread, milk, eggs, and cereal, were greatly appreciated. The location was also ideal, with plenty of parking and the ability to walk straight from the front door to places of interest. I will definitely be coming back to Orkney in the future.
It was all superb! 😊

The studio was extremely well equipped! The kitchen had everything we could dream about, the flat had a very comfortable bed, a sofa, a table, and a smart TV! The hosts were very welcoming, they also left us a welcome pack with lots of food for preparing breakfast! .
There was one minor downside to our stay. The surrounding area was quite rural and peaceful, which some might find relaxing, but we personally would have preferred a bit more hustle and bustle.
